  360. I have a new FT530 also, and it is also from lot #25, and
  361. it also had a green wire loop jumper on pad 13.  I simply
  362. snipped it, and put the radio back together.  After that
  363. you're supposed to hold down both the up and down arrows
  364. while turning the radio on.  The first time I did this,
  365. I did not get out of band RX.  I simply tried again, and it
  366. worked the second time.  Didn't have to remove the batteries
  367. or anything, but it did erase all my memories & settings.
  368. Maybe Yaesu added the wire jumper to make the mod easier ?!?

  519. Did anyone see the tiny straight keys for sale in the Dayton Hamvention flea
  520. market?

  522. There was a car parked somewhere in row 1, 2, or 3, just west of the main arena
  523. (near the pub). There were a couple of these miniature keys on the trunk lid.
  524. One had a tag under it that read something like "very rare". And it was marked
  525. $35. The proprietor of the display was not around. The key felt really good.
  526. I'm kicking myself now for not waiting around for the fellow to return.

  585. Last time I checked into it (when we were planning to go to Bermuda
  586. last year), you have to have at least a General Class license to get a
  587. reciprocol license in most of the British countries and former
  588. colonies.  I know it applies to Bermuda and the BVI, and I'm pretty
  589. sure it also applies to England.  Check with the ARRL Reciprocol
  590. License folks for current info.

  630. before a net was supposed to start to announce that her husband was sick
  631. and someone else needed to take the net.  (He was in that hospital, she
  632. was at home, unlicensed, etc, etc...)  So one of the others jumped in and
  633. took the net.  Nobody said anything about it and I thought it was pretty
